These are nice times in my opinion. Bowling Green is near sea level right? I am positive that slicks would help your times. Just be careful not to break anything.
What hp and torque do you think this car puts down to the ground? I was looking at your sig and would not think it would be putting down that much more power than your car. It has a blower cam , but you have long tube headers w/ high flow cats. How much boost are you running? What are your thoughts?
Thanks
Adam
I bet he is putting down around 475. We are putting the inter cooler on mine asap because of the heat in the south. That should add around 35-40 hp. I talked to Mag. this morning and they should have something out in the next couple of weeks. The one reason I do not have slicks now is because I'm scared that I will break something.

The car dynos different every day it seems (and depends also where I have it dynoed). My best dyno run at 21st Century Musclecars was 496hp and 448 pft torque (with just 1400 miles on the odometer). Since then, I've had my car in several more times for LS1 edit updates (as new info and tuning has become available). I have seen 515hp and 461 pft torque @ the wheels on another dyno on a cooler day (even though they should all be SAE, you know how it goes as far as dyno to dyno numbers go). And of course ACTUAL power is also significantly higher than the SAE standard. The only dyno run I have that I can scan was before we *had* to put the LPE cam in (I wasn't planning on doing a cam, but many '03 Z06s had cam bolts that mysteriously back out and I started throwing a CEL for cam position sensor, and low & behold mine were loose. So that gave me the excuse I needed and I decided that this would be a good time to go ahead and do the LPE cam. That particular dyno pull showed 474hp & 448 pft to the wheels before the cam and pulley change. As far as the smaller SC pulley and power increases are concerned, I only picked up 12-15hp peak and around 25 pft PEAK. However, under the curve there is about a 27hp and 28 pft torque increase from 2700 rpm to 5000 rpm. When coupled with the new cam, this shot up to 55hp and 45 pft in the same area, with around a 34-35hp gain at the wheels at 6350 rpm (peak). My red line has been adjusted to 6700 rpm.
I've had the Z06 to the track on several occasions. Unfortunately when you run under an 11.99 quartermile time, you get kicked out (without a rollbar that is). So my track time has been limited to about 3-4 runs. However, I own a Stalker Pro radar gun with STATS data aquisition (the same equipment every major magazine uses to compile acceleration data). I've run about ten 1/4 mile runs on an old airport runway in west Texas and I have seen several 11.40's and 11.50s at 126 to 129 mph. My 0-60 times hover in the 3.5 to 3.7 second range with a 3000 rpm launch and the right amount of clutch slippage and throttle manipulation. The mini-tubs and 345 rear tires are still only good for 2.0 to 2.20 60ft times <laughs>. With some stickies and maybe upgraded halfshafts and a couple other minor driveline changes, high 10's would be possible with an experienced drag racer. My 0-100 mph times are 7.5 to 7.7 seconds. No, I haven't run the car on top end. Motortrend or Car & Driver tested a 490hp C5 Coupe with the LPE Magnusson and it ran 197 mph with the lights poped up, so I figure mine with an additional 90-100hp should be able to pull another 4-5 mph on top. I've never had this car over 160 mph as it almost requires two lanes when you shift (skates around alot when you shift the gears).
Suspension components are stock, the car is lowered 1.5 inches. However, the 18x9.5 and massive 19x12" HREs coupled with 265/40ZR-18s & 345/30ZR-19 Pilots sports provide considerably better lateral grip than the Supercar Eagles (including straight line acceleration). The G-force measurement was taken on a 300ft skid pad with 5th wheel equipment (and a driver who knows what he is doing...that means NOT me...lol). I needed a baseline before installing the coil overs but decided against getting them after hearing all kinds of horror stories.
As far as injector size, I could be wrong, but I thought I remembered John telling me the stock injectors were 24 pound units and the new ones that came with the LPE/Magnusson were 28 pound units, but I can't remember.
Hope this helps.

I'm an Engineer and I work for several different entities . I can't get both the CTS-V AND the E55. Most likely I will get the Cadillac (I can't believe I'm saying that, a freakin Cadillac?). German cars these days are too expensive to modify and for what you get, ain't much ($10,000 for only 29hp??? ie: Dinan M3 package for instance). I've already talked to John Page about the CTS-V and sounds like they will have parts and mods for both the CTS-V and the Pontiac GTO. Soon I'll have an Autobahn EATER...heh

Yep me too

After the cam was installed, I lost about 2 pounds of boost (cam=less manifold pressure). Originally I was hitting 5 psi, which crept up to 6 psi near my shift point. after the cam, it would hit 4psi, then barely get to 5 psi. Now it almost immediately hits 6 psi and creeps up to 7psi....
I WILL S/C HERE SOON. DO YOU GUYS HAVE ANY ISSUES WITH THE MAGNUSSON FOR STREETABILITY? DO THE TIRES JUST SPIN WITH THE LOW END POWER? CAR GETS SQUIRRLY AS IT IS. ARE THERE BETTER TIRES FOR THE STREET OTHER THAN THE RUN FLATS?

Levi, I have three suggestions for you to get the information you want:
1. Try using the search button. There are dozens of already-exhausted threads with a wealth of information on the topic of forced induction in general and S/C systems in particular.
2. Try starting a new thread when you have a question unrelated to the current thread. What you have done here is called 'hijacking' this thread, which is in the "For Sale" section of the site. You are seeking info and feedback from others on a thread that is a "For Sale" listing.
3. Refrain from posting in all caps. It's like yelling at someone.
Hope this is helpful and that your search givs you the answers you are looking for....
