Well folks, my Z is almost back in service again and I went with the new 72cc AFR 225 heads to allow me to boost even higher.
My MTI stage 3 heads are now up for sale! These at milled at 65cc's and are just right for a blower engine looking to lower their current CR.
They only have approx 1500 miles on them and in a thread by AFR a couple of months ago here on the site, the owner of AFR after making a flow comparison indicated that these were some of the best looking and flowing heads he had ever compared against. Check it out!
I'm asking for $1900 plus shipping which is way, way below what I paid for them.
He are some pics...take a look and let me know if you are interested.
I assume they are the LS6 heads, but are they the 2.055 intake valves or the 2.08 intake valves? What kind of vavletrain componets are on the heads? Have they been milled at all? Thanks\\

Do they include the Jesel rockers or any rockers for that mater?
Thanks

Jessel rockers with the heads for $1900 total?? You've got to be kidding, right. That's another $1500 all by itself!
No, rockers are not in the sale as you can see by the pics posted. You can use your stock rockers with these heads.... I did.

Mike, Would these heads be to much for stock CID motor or are they for stroker motor?
I have had a couple of inquiries on this. While these heads could certainly be used on a stock engine, without a blower you would gain no real value and would, in fact, lose power. They are milled to 65cc and with fairly thick Cometic gaskets, you could drop CR down into the 9's. Perfect for a blower application but would make an N/A motor run like a pig I would think.
A you can see on the site, the stage III is an upgrade to the stage 2R's. You can also see the pricing for new ones and that requires your core heads to be used. It should be pretty obvious just how much savings are involved in my sale (close to $2000).
As stated on the web site, this is for larger bore engines. I would say that any displacement less than 383 would probably be a bad match.
That's good news! Looking forward to seeing some numbers out of that beast.
