Question about taking over a lease

Everyone,
I found someone to takeover the lease on my car, but he lives in CA. My leasing company just told me that they have a policy that restricts lease assumptions from CA addresses (legal residence). Now I can't think of a way for the guy to takeover the lease. I asked if he could use a different address, but they said he has to have dual residency. How do you accompish dual residency? Has anyone ever encountered a problem similar to this? Is there anyway around this stupid restriction?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
Jason

Dual residency is when they have ties to another address....

i.e. A lake house or summer home.

Maybe he has a friend in another state that can do it for him, or let him use their address.

Otherwise the only way to get around this is to..........sell it to someone in another state
