Selling my highly modified 2001 Z06 (long) *PRICE REDUCED*

It is a sad day…

I have to pay off some bills and am looking to change my lifestyle so that I may be able to settle down and purchase a home.

So...I am selling my 2001 Quicksilver Z06.

If you are looking for an unbelievably composed and awesomely powerful car, this is it. It is awesome in person, and it has been maintained and modified to impeccable standards. Many of those on corvetteforum.com, including many of the corvetteforum vendors, know this car. I am a long time member of the forum, and this vehicle has been featured on the site as one of the top modified fifth generation corvettes.

This car was delivered new on April 9th of 2001. I am an obsessive, compulsive clean freak, and the car is exemplary of my nature. Since delivery it has never seen the rain, never used anything other than Zaino products for car care, and has been regularly serviced by me. The car is absolutely FLAWLESS. The paint, the interior, the rocker panels even, are immaculate. Despite its demeanor, it has never been raced. It is solely a weekend, good weather cruiser with just less than 12,500 original miles.

The factory options include the black trimmed leather seats, electrochromic mirrors, floormats, and the memory package. It is a 50 state legal car, and all of its modifications have the proper CARB numbers for smog legality.

This car offers just about every “bolt-on” available in the C5 market today. True to form, I was extremely judgmental of the parts that were chosen to make up this car. If it didn’t perform just right, fit just right, or look just right, it wasn’t purchased or I sent it back. I am complimented daily on the attention to detail, and the professionalism of the composition.

Among the most notable modifications are the HRE 545 three-piece wheels in 18” and 19”, fully polished, with the clear coat finish. They measure 18x9.5 Front and 19x10.5 Rear. They are wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero Assimetrico tires that measure 265/35/18 Front and 295/30/19 Rear. The tire and wheel package cost over $6,000 alone. Also of note is the custom fabricated nitrous system. This kit is like none other on the market - it was built, with parts from various distributors, to appear as though it is just another factory-enhanced item on the car. I toiled for more than 3 months making sure the install and the finishes on the parts were absolutely flawless. You will not find another one exactly like it. The nitrous system itself, with dual powder coated and airbrushed bottles, and dual purge system, cost me nearly $2,000 to build.

In May of 2002, I dynoed this car to 462.5 rwhp and 495.5 rwtq on the 100hp shot nitrous jetting. At the flywheel this calculates to nearly 560hp. With the capability of jetting to 150hp, this car could easily top the 500rwhp mark. The wonderful thing about nitrous is it does not affect drivability. Ultimately, this made a lot of sense considering this vehicle was built largely built for show and for bragging rights. I have yet to use the system to its true potential, but rest assured, the power it generates is unbelievable. The dyno graph speaks for itself.

The remainder of the modifications includes the following:

· Baer Cross Drilled & Slotted Brake Rotors
· RK Sport Lowering Bolts and Bushings
· Bilstein Sport Shocks
· European Tail Lamps w/ Clear Lenses
· APC Xenon Head Lamp Bulbs
· Front Brake Duct Screens
· Halltech T1 Air Intake w/ Power Stack Filter
· 2002 MAF
· Halltech Ported Throttle Body
· Halltech Throttle Body Bypass
· 172 Thermostat and Integrated Fan Switch Controller
· Taylor Spark Plug Wires/ Red
· NGK TR6 Spark Plugs
· B&B TriFlow Shorty Headers
· B&B TriFlow PRT Exhaust w/ Quad Round Tips
· Xtreme Motorsports X-Pipe
· Rolled Tip Exhaust Plate w/ C5 Logo
· B&M Ripper Short Shifter
· Hardbar Delrin Shift Knob
· Autometer A-Pillar Dual Gauge Pod
· Autometer Sport Comp Fuel and N2O Pressure Gauges
· Instrument Cluster Bezels
· A&A Rocker Rails

I am selling the car for $47,700. No reasonable offer will be refused.

I can be reached via e-mail at work (whitmore@williamspluspaddon.com), at home (bwhitmore@jps.net), or by phone, 530-889-8517 after 6:00pm on weekdays, and most hours on the weekend. The car is located in Auburn, CA, 30 miles east of Sacramento, in the Northern California region. I am always available to show the car and offer test-drives. That is of course, if you don’t mind turning a few heads when you cruise down the street.

I have included pictures of the vehicle that have been recently taken, as well as a dyno graph illustrating its power.

Enjoy.

Are the "560 HP" underneath the Z06 side badge decals or where did you get them? They look nice. You have one sweet ride. I wish I could have waited and bought your car instead of my 01Z

Good luck on your sale, I hope you get your asking price.

They are a vinyl graphic I designed on computer to fit beneath the Z06 symbols. Then I had the local graphics shop print and cut them for me. They are very subtle, but they do the trick!

I lowered the price to $47,700. The resrve I set on Ebay is lower than that.

I know, I hate to see the car go too, but I am young, if things go well, as they have been going lately, I should look to gte back into buying some toys in the next couple of years.

The ebay auction has ended and the car is still available.

The highest bid was $43,300 which I did not accept. My reserve was $46,500, but I am willing to go less even!

Please make me an offer on this vehicle before I come to my senses....

Here's my free .02 - "It also has the original 3 Year/ 36,000 mile warranty, good until 36,000 miles or April of 2004. Nothing on the vehicle has voided the factory warranty as verified with all of my local GM dealers."

While this is certainly true in the strict sense of the law here in the US, my guess is the nitrous kit is why it's not selling. Unless you are using medical grade nitrous, the stuff can be traced by the dealer, and you can't really expect them to fix a blown engine/trans/clutch/halfshaft when you have nitrous on your car.

That said, it sure is a nice car! Have you tried Dupont Registry?

Good luck.
