Agree to disagree

I buy my UPF-44 filters from a GM dealer who was instrumental in starting the big write in/phone in campaign to save this filter. I asked him what he knows about the "new" cancellation of this filter. Here is his reply:

Hello Janet,

I just got off the phone with AC Delco. The person I talked to verified with his supervisor. They tell me AC Delco at this time has no plans to discontinue the UPF44 filter. They are keeping the upf44 and the upf47 filter in the system. I will also put this info out on the forum.

So, some of us think the filter is cancelled and others think the filter is still in production. I'm in the latter group.

The upf44 filters much smaller particles than the pf44. Here is one site that recomends the UPF44 highly. There are several others.

I just talked to Shawn at LAPD and he also said that the UPF-44 filter is NOT going to be discontinued.

OK...BEFORE I ask the question, let it be known...the flame suit is on and zipped up

If the UPF44 is soooo much better than the PF44, why does GM tell us that the PF44 is the recommended and warranty spec. filter?

Be nice...just asking

Charlie
