The V710s come new with 4/32" tread. To the best of my ability to measure them, they have at least 3/32" remaining. Here a few shots I just took of one:
I have 1 pair of Z06 17" rims, and 1 pair of '98 couple 17" rims. WIll these tires fit on both rims, and which ones should I put in the rear?
Taaz,
In SCCA T1 we use these same tires on the front on 17x10 and on the rear on 17x11. The spec line for the 315/35-17 V710 on Tire Rack's website lists 10.5-12.5" wide wheels for this tire. The 10" I use is really too narrow, but I am limited by rules so live with a little suboptimum setup. I wouldn't recommend these tires on a 9.5" wheel.
Updated with current availability after my race at TWS. Anything not sold by 3/20 will be given to fellow racers at my last race this year at Memphis Motorsports Park. I move on 3/25 and want (need?) an empty garage.
All the Kumho's and Hoosiers sold or sale pending. Goodyears still left. The Goodyear GS-CS is the tire John Heinricy has won the SCCA National Championship Runoffs T1 race on for the last three straight years. They are a great tire, just not as cost effective as the Kumho for me.
