at close to invoice? Since the '04 is just arond the corner, I figure some dealers will want to move inventory to increase their future allotment.
Also, any change for '04 I should consider?
I'm in the San Francisco Bay area.
TIA,
Ed
You'll get a better deal on an 04 through one of the forum vendors here than you will on an 03 from a west coast dealer.
Seems the Cali dealers are prepared to sit on their 03 stock and wait for gross no matter how much flooring It costs them

Edward -- FWIW, I'd seriously consider locating a deal on an '04 with an out-of-state dealer, strictly because of the CA market. If the the dealers up there are anything like the LA/OC/SD county area dealers . . . pricing at the end-of model year isn't much better than any other time of the year.
I bought last year @ about the same time . . . got a decent deal for the SoCal area, but not in comparison to out-of-state.
My .02 -- good luck on the search, and welcome to the forum!
Mossy Chevrolet in San Diego has been running an ad for about 2 weeks now (that I've noticed). $4100 discount, $2000 rebate on 03 vettes, and they say "10 at this saving". Go to their website, and they list 10 in stock, 2 o them are Z's, one EB and one TR.
Don't know how legit this offer is. This ad was also run in todays paper (sat).
For a no hassle deal, especially since you live in CA, go with a forum dealer. If they have want you want, you will be hard pressed to find a better deal anywhere on either remaining '03 or new 04's. Both Rick and Jason are VERY good guys and will not lead you astray. I've spoken with both but I could not get the color I wanted and ended up ponying up a little more locally and felt like I was in the middle of a MiddleEast peace treaty negotiation during the whole buying process. Trust me- save yourself the grief if you can. By the way, I bought from a Texas dealer who thought they were located in CA. $10K markup over MSRP to start... and that was -YESTERDAY- , however, they sure as hell didn't get that from me. PM me if you want hard numbers I have found in my 9 month quest.
Also, be careful with the print and web ads from some dealers claiming some outrageous $$$ off the top- it's off the top of the "Dealer Adjusted Markup Price" and not MSRP.
I bought mine a month ago at Chuck Fairbanks Chev in Desoto TX - just south of Dallas for a little under invoice - about $7500 off list. THis included the rebate which I'm not sure is still running. I have since seen adds for as much as $9000 off list at other dealers. The deals are out there. The internet salesman at Chuck Fairbanks is Troy Staggs - they have a website. He was a cool, no BS guy. Easy to deal with via email. If by some chance you buy one from he mention my name - Mike Lacey - and he will send me money for my blower fund!
