I use the I/O Port mount as well. It offers more adjustability than the B/K from what I've seen.
I use the I/O Port also...I love it. It has a bushing that I think dampens the vibrations in the car. It is very adjustable like posted above.

Do these have a quick release plate? Or do you have to screw it into your tripod mount every single time?
As a professional photographer I can tell you the Arca-Swiss and Really Right Stuff products could be added to this and provide a simple clamp that lets you mount/unmount your camera in 3 seconds vs. having to mess with tightening those tripod mount screws everytime.
This is what one looks like (plate screws into your tripod mount permanently, base screws into your camera mount in your car permanently.

Paul,
The I/O port mount doesn't have one of those, but it's doubtful that would be allowed in the SCCA. We have to have our cameras "double captured" meaning screwed to the mount AND a safety lanyard. I've become pretty adept and putting mine in and taking it out.

Same here...I keep the camera mounted in the car most of the time. I have to take it out to charge the battery every couple of days and when I pull video off of it. It only takes me a minute to put it back in.
