I am very serious about selling my Torch Red 02 Z06. It has 27,680 miles on it. The car was a museum delivery. Has been well maintained and taken care of. Used only high-end synthetics Amsoil and Royal Purple and Zanio products. I am even including an extra set of wheels, Complete Custom Wheels (CCW). So what kind of a fair price is going to get folks interested?
I would appreciate only honest answers for individuals who has some integrity (I say this to excluded used car salesman opinions)
My best guess would be you should be able to sell you Z for anywhere between $34k - 36k. I base this upon being offered $32k for my '01. Good luck selling her, I think part of the problem is folks saving up for the C6 and the current incentives on 04's. Hope this helps.
First off, sell the wheels seperately. It is very rare to find a buyer that is willing to give you full value for extras that you throw in to enhance the deal. It is generally best to return the car to as near stock as possible as everyone has different tastes in mods. There is a healthy market for reselling Z accessories.
With the mileage and the fact that new 04's are selling for 43 to 44k in many markets I would estimate that it is worth between 32 and 34k.
To make you feel better I was offered $38,000.00 last night for my car. I have less then 900 miles on my 02 Z06 but have all docs, window, build, title, history and include a drag pack for anyone wanting to go to the track and do it right.
These cars with 2002 Z06's w/50,000 miles on them says volumes. Your car has had good care so don't low ball unless yo have to. Remmeber talk is cheap, money walks shi* don't.
Plus you could have a phoney buyer set you up to take a cut froma low ball price for a friend looking for a nice Z06.
Dave,
I agree that you'll get more money if you sell the wheels separately. When I sold my 94 RX-7, I had a set of track wheels and stock wheels, both in good condition. I offered it for sale with either (something like $800 more with the track wheels) and gave the choice to the buyer. He chose the higher price and the track wheels. I then sold the stock wheels/tires and made another $800 or so.
There is a Silver 02 on this board with 12,500 miles asking $37,000 and a Black 02 with 8600 miles asking $36950. Your mileage is pretty high for the year. I would be asking $35,000 and take maybe $34,000. At least the car is red. Many people can't picture a Corvette in any other color and will walk past another color regardless of mileage. Definitely ditch the aftermarket wheels. They may not add a nickel to the sale price if the prospective buyer doesn't agree with your tastes.
Black or polished? Sizes? Price? I might be interested.
Sorry if I'm taking anything away from your car sale thread. Just sit tight. You will find the right buyer.

No Way!!! In fact it turned out better in that I made the decision to sell the car with out the wheels at a lower more attractive price and in the process have two folks interested (yourself included in the wheels and tires). That is a home run with bases loaded in my book.
Now I have a DRM Radiator/ Oil Cooler with a Canton 8 micron 45 GPM oil filter, hoses, Aeroequip FireSleeve cover and Andel Clamps are all included.
A Corbeau Forza Seat with a Sparco Slider and custom designed bracket design by Rocket Scientist no less. A friend and I designed it and he works in our aircraft structures group at Lockheed. It takes 5 minutes to bolt it in and out of the car. Included in that Seat deal would be an Anodize Aluminum HardBar Harness bar and a Red Sabelt 6 point harness.
