My Z is at A & A Corvettes for the next 2 weeks or so for a bunch of stuff.....one of which is installing a DTE Stage 3 extreme duty 3.42 diff.
So, my 3.90 will be for sale next week. It's the complete diff. Stock, except for Motive 3.90 gears and a Rockland Standard Gear super duty half shaft.
This unit has been in my car for the past 10 mos. The work was done by Dick Guldstrand and the clutch packs and rings were replaced. No whining or any gear noise. Probabily has 1,500 miles on the unit and it was broken in as per instructions.
With my LS6 H & C engine I was putting down 420 rwhp and the 3.90 is the perfect gear. It really livened up the acceleration and made highway driving a pleasure in 5th and 6th gear.
This unit has never been abused and never drag raced.
I had a C5R engine built and decided to go back to the 3.42 gears for more traction as the new engine puts out another 150 rwhp above my LS6.
This diff is very similar to the DTE Stage 2 unit, which sells for $1,599.00 shipped.
I'm asking $850.00 shipped.
