Just went by local dealership in Denver who showed a Z06 in inventory per Chevrolet.com.
Sure enough, there was a sweet yellow Z back in service that had just been "sold" for $125,000.00. I certainly offended the salesman with my laughter. He also said that there was another MY in transit that they were taking bids on which he thought would be over the $125K.
....anyways...I huridly departed the dealership before I really pissed them off.
Power Chevrolet Superstition Springs in Mesa Arizona has a black one they just sold for $110. I will lurk in the shadows, waiting for the proper opportunity to pounce on one AT LESS THAN MSRP.

That's my plan too - lurk a few years and then pick one up for a cool $5K or more under. I figure my '02 will be worth mid upper 20's and will make a good down payment.
I just hope GM is still in business 2 years hence!
Maybe we should have a sticky thread for people who want to keep making the same comments about "over MSRP." People could keep adding to the same thread, so those of us who want to avoid reading the same comments about "stealerships, fools and their money," etc., over and over and over and over again, wouldn't have to keep sorting through new "deja vu all over again" threads as much.
Do you guys honestly think your comments are going to change human behavior and the normal laws of supply and demand........basic principles that have been in effect since the days of cave men?
There was one sold here locally for $89000 and I thought that was ridiculus. I met another guy that commented he got a great deal paying only 3K over sticker
I already heard a rumor of one selling for 3K UNDER sticker...
And more may come. I was also told there are about 10 sitting in dealers in Texas, soon to be discounted if no one buys....
Maybe Texas people can chime in.
Arlington,Texas had 2 for a while. They said they would sell for 5K over. They had them stickered for 15K over but the sales manager said they had sold the first few for 5K over.
I understand where you're coming from foosh. Not my intent to change anything or bash the specific dealership. My guess, is that people who spend $125K on a Z06 are either too excited or have already given their share of extra cash to a charitable cause and need a depreciating asset (not that they'll see any tax benefit).
It does reinforce my appreciation for doing my due dilligence before buying.
I'm sure the guy/gal who flopped out $125K really knows his/her stuff!

Its called the first amendment. You dont like move to China.
I don't blame these dealerships at all for selling at 125K if they can. The only value that matters is what the consumer paid because he obviously felt it was a good enough deal to buy thus he is happy. I mean really, who among us would not sell our car for a 50K profit if someone asked. I would sell any of my cars for that if I thought I could get it. And so would everyone else.
Don't believe a minute that the car sold for $125k. It's just dealer talking. It is pretty much a standard tactic for them to bullshit people about what it was sold.
