Dealer dumps vette off lift during an oil change!

Hi members. You all gotta see this thread over on another corvette message board. Some guys C5 was dropped at the dealership during an oil change and they damaged the car. You should see all the damage. There are pictures over there. I don't know how to bring them here. But, here are the links. I can't believe that this dealership is giving this guy a hard time. I think they should give him a new car or something!

I don't care what they say or due, that car will never be right.
If they fix it and I think that there right if the car is not totaled, I would sue then for diminished value.

If that guy settled for only repair, he's retarded. If it were me, they'd be sending me home in a new one.

There HAS TO BE frame damage. I bet the quarters and hood won't be lining up any more. I feel very bad for this guy.

That's why I am extra, extra, careful when I put my car on the lift.

Time and time again, we always hear of nightmares when taking your car to the dealer.

Be careful when you take your car to the dealer.

Also, how about being able to run a history report on technicians working at the dealer?? You run a report and find out where he worked before and why he isn't there anymore? That would be pretty cool.

I'm just kidding... but this kind of stuff makes me think twice about things like that.

You got that right. Screw repairing it, I'd insist it be replaced with one at least as nice as the one I had. If the dealer had any decency, he'd tell the guy to walk out on his lot and take his choice, and give him the keys.

Inexcusable.

The car IMHO is totaled ! The cost of repair is way above 75 to 80 % of cost value ! The dealership is trying to cut their losses ! The easiest way out for them ! I wouldn't let them repair it ! It would never be the same !

REPLACE IT !!!!
