A dealer just IM'd me asking if I was intereted in a red z06. I of course said maybe, I really wanted black, but for the right price I'd be interested. He comes back says 10 grand over MSRP and I say he's crazy. I told him I'd wait for a black one below that. He says it will never happen.

Man if there are dealers already charging MSRP, then they will start to charge below it. I"ll wait. Man I wish people with too much money would just quit ruining it for us. Oh well, guess simple economics explain it:(

its all similar, just look at the whole Xbox thing as well. Give it time and things will cool off then call the dealer back and let him know you will be buying the car some where else given his response.

The people who buy these things at such a high cost will be beotching when they try to sell and lose their Azz.

In the meantime enjoy the holidays and good things come to those who wait.

I'll enjoy waiting. Don't konw if I will be able to wait for a year, but guess i'll have to try. Oh well, i'll just make myself do it

I thought about the C6 Z too, but..........

I saved over $55 grand on a new Z! Today I decided to have Jeff @ LPE do a SUPERCHARGER on my 02Z. With an added 130 HP it will be a new Zzzzzzzzzzz! And what a Z it will be.

You will be rewarded for having patience. I have a plan to wait between 18-24 months and find a low mile C6 Z 06 for many thousand of dollars less than what they are selling for today. I did this with my 04 Z 06 and found one with less than 1500 miles on it and it was like a brand new car when I got it. I saved almost $14,000 off the sticker price. I love it and will keep it even when I get my next one.
The market is in play right now and is not buyer friendly but that will change just like it has for every other Z 06 that has been built in the past.

Yeah My friends don't think I can wait, but I will have to. I know I want one so bad, they look so sexy!! I also figured that waiting will make me like it even more

Plus, the longer I wait, the more mods I can think of, research, etc

I like it all ready

It's a very weird market now. Used cars aren't selling for anying near what they are worth, and new cars are selling for way too much. Oh well, the market will change!!!

And I was upset paying sticker. Have bought Harleys so am used to supply and demand. Son-in-law works for General, did the dealer thing looking to beat price. No 02 E B's in tri-state area in Sept 91 . Really don't know if I could go over sticker,but hey diff strokes thing,personal call.

Patience, patience, patience.

If a dealer has to ring you trying to sell, he is desperate. Give it a few months, you'll get them for MSRP or below.

that's the way I look at it. If they are calling me, then the time will come will they will break and realize they can't take a huge profit and just take a minimal one.

The demand for this car has driven the price up. We have presold the next
three orders, all for $10,000 over sticker. We have dealers calling us
wanting to buy at 10k over sticker. In this environment I don't think we are
ripping any one off to charge the current market price. The price will come
down, when the demand comes down. Never met anyone that wouldn't take more
than they paid for a house because demand in their neighborhood was strong.

According to the Sports car International report GM is going to make about 8 thousand units per year.

After the first year you'll see sticker price easy.

There are dealers working at MSRP now.

Something about business ethics.

Shop around...besides when GM retunes the pcm of the 2007 C6 Z06 the prices on the 06 will drop? (just kidding)
