When I picked up my new Z06's both had dealer decals on the back end even though I told the salesmen to ensure they were not stuck on the car!
The 1st thing to come off on both of them was the "Dealer Decal". When I went to pick up the cars (same dealer) there they were. Both times the cars went immediately back to the detail shop for removal before I signed the paperwork.
The second thing to come off both cars was the CAGs. I had eliminators ordered before delivery and as soon as the cars got home I installed the eliminators!

You're obviously right. Neither should have ever been installed.

No Decals...Although dealers insist on their right to put their mark on your car and have you advertise for them. My "Decals" came in the form of two things....a license plate bearing dealer name and... a nice shiny license plate frame both also with dealer name and city !!
Mine was under the hood, just below the wipers. That didn't bother me, like being stuck to the paint would have. It's stuck on the side of the refigerator now.
This has been "threaded" before.
My sales rep knew me ... says "I didn't put on the dealer stick-on, 'cause I knew you didn't want it and would take it right off."

I had my Z drop shipped to a local dealer, know the service manager real well. He said the guy detailing it ask him if they should put the dealer decal on the Z and he told him, "Only if you want to die."
Mine had no dealer decals, nameplates or any other decal add ons except two cardboard license plates (NJ front & back) with his name. Barlow Chevrolet. Small house but not too bad to do business with.
My Dealer says that they never but any badges or Stickers on Corvettes. All factory plastic wrappings etc are carefully removed and place neatly in the car. They give the customer the option of either letting the Porter (lot boy) take the car to the gas station for a tank of premium fuel or letting you go and mail them the receipt for the gas refund. I choose the later. Very Classy IMO.
