I just wanted to relate my experiences while looking for a Z06 last year.

I started while I was in Virginia and found that most of the dealers had $10,000 mark ups on coupes and convertibles, obviously a dead end.

I then moved back to Texas and found that of the two dealers in my area one didn't know what a Z06 was and the other one laughed at me and said I wouldn't be able to afford it.

So I turned to the internet, found corvetteforum.com and started watching and learning. My first contact was Karl Johansen who is very well established with the Corvette community. He is an honest salesman and told me that he already had 20 people on a waiting list for the Z06.

I then found Tom Rogers at Serra Chevrolet. He was just starting out on the forum but obviously knew his stuff. As soon as June 1st rolled around and the Z06 was confirmed I placed an order with him. I was able to get in at the original MSRP, avioding most of the buying frenzy of those first few months.

The paperwork all went smoothly thanks to Tom's help and a couple of months later he was on hand at the National Corvette Museum along with Adam Boca to hand over the keys to my first Corvette.

If you are interested in any Corvette or Chevrolet product, don't hesitate to contact Tom at 205-853-2906 or email me with your questions.
