Great service from Courtesy Chevy in Norcal.

The dealership on stevens creek. Larry Thielen is a great guy. He is not gun-shy about mods, and knows corvettes very well (has owned something like 15 of them). He's the man to talk to, and will make sure your car is well taken care off.

I disagree

That dealer is horrible

tried to drive my car off a lift with the arms still under it doing bad paint damage to the underside

did not fix my door

broke my SLP x-pipe and will not admit responsability nor pay for it

keept my car for a month and a half

had to take it in 2 times for sticking clutch both time had the VME tech bulliten from GM they DID NOT do the recomended GM work, they tried to cheap fix it

I think they suck, they are the reason my Z will be for sale next week

to each his own but I got my car back the other day guess what

STILL MESSED UP

I am taking my car to another dealer I will let you know how it goes, but in my opinion I would not buy a hotdog from them

info on Courtesy

Serious I understand a mishap once, but damaging a car twice. That is insane, also the damage on the second time was clearly the result of poor workmanship. they tore my x-pipe. The car now has a shake and rattle in the rear end, that they have not fixed and was not there before. If you are intrested I will psot what that problem is once I have another dealer look at it this Friday.

And as far as this Lary Thelin is concerned I never meet him, nor saw hi there but if he is so good why didnt he do anything after my car sat there for two months (2 if you include the time for the second clutch fix and ripping my x-pipe)

maybe maybe not, I do not see why that should matter though, if that guy is so good then why would he let a car sit, its not like he couldnt tell that it was the same car, my car is clearly distinct from any other Z in nor cal.

I just think, based on the three rimes I have had my car there, that Courtesy sucks. They were awful under the Roulette's and I would have never thought to bring my car there. When John Anderson bought them out I was excited becasue I worked for John and I know his reputaiton and how he does buisness. After these experinces I question wheter my assesment of him was incorrect, or if his way of doing business has changed.

Either way that dealer is terrible, they were asking 20k over sticker for C6's and cannot even fix C-5's. I understand that a dealer needs to make money but there is a point where it becomes obscene. ALso if you are gonna ask for that kind of dough you should be able to fix current customers cars without damaging them, before you even think about getting a 20k markup.

Sales department-yeah, they can be pretty looney on the prices. I didnt buy my car from them.

Its a pity Larry didnt get involved with your situation. If you still end up trying to resolve things with them, it couldnt hurt to ask that your car be transfered over to his attention. Maybe he will be more help than whoever you have been dealing with.

I would take my vette to a Toyota dealer before I would take it to Courtesy ever again. I am resolving the situation by bitting the bullet and buying an Xpipe (I do not want to wait for the dealer to do it, I have been without my car too long) and taking the car to the family mechanic and see if he can fix the noises and rattles that are now coming from the rear end since I picked it up from Courtesy. I will have to pay my mechanic myself, but hey its an expensive lesson, Don't take your Corvette to Courtesy Chevy.

Is this the same dealer that dropped a customer's C5 off a lift during a routine oil change?
