Congratulations on the Z, Mark, and welcome to
Did you buy it "off the floor" or pick up on a deal gone bad, or order it or?

Yes, I've heard of some dealers offering Z's at msrp to loyal customers , with the proviso that "when one is available" ...
Anyway ... enjoy the ride!

Mark,

I had my oil changed at Huffines on thursday last week and saw that car sitting in front of the showroom. First 06Z I had seen on the lot, and it looked awesome. I was wondering if it was sold, as it didn't have a sticker on it. Bought my 02Z from Huffines for less than sticker. Have always had excellent service. Congrats.

Yea exactly what happened. They knew I was not going to pay over MSRP and I was not going wait and order one either. The also knew I would act on it if they had one and needed to get rid of it. So both the Yellow one I was offred at 72 (it was loaded) and the Red one I bought at 69 (loaded cept for Nav) were the results of deal's gone bad.

I am kicking myself now for not buying the yellow one back in Oct. I could have flipped it and made some money perhaps.

You know the car did not have a window sticker - but I got it off the Internet. I told them I want the original sticker and they said they would get it for me. There was some guy who was connected to Huffines who ordered that. The story goes he was all upside down on a expensive Benz and decided he was not going to take it.

I think the dealers get scared when a deal goes bad and just want to get rid of the car like NOW! Otherwise you can't beg and get one of these cars at sticker. I am now looking for a Ford GT at 10 off sticker. I have thrown out offers to several dealers and Huffines in Carrolton wants 225 for one and then I have had offers as low as sticker about 166. But with 900 setting unsold on showroom floors. And 1200 left to be made I think I will see at least 10 under sticker soon.
