scam dealer

Stay away from Lou backrodt (Pompano), Florida. They appraised my '00 hard top $33000( wholesale), for trade in. However, the salesman comes in and tells me I'll give you $29000 for the car. I know what they appaised my '00 for, because my wife was in the ajoining room, and heard the whole conversation. I went to three other dealers, all appraised the car for trade- between $33000- $33500. Anywho, I ordered my '02 z06 from another dealer, and placed a classified ad for the car.

Just wondering - was the $4000 difference due to them offering you $33000 against sticker for a trade-in, while the $29000 is what they would give you cash, no trade?

I dont know this for sure but it sounds like they were trying to hold the $4000.00 on the trade and add it to the deal as profit.

If you're not comfortable with a deal, it's best to walk (or run) away from it.
