Some nice things about buying from a dealer

I recently bought a 2003 Z06 from Maritime Motors in Connecticut. I found out later that the tire repair kit was missing... gave them a call and they are ordering me a new one from GM.

On the other hand, Pohanka Chevrolet in Chantilly Virginia sold me a 2002 Z06 that I drove off the lot and onto a 600 mile road trip. Unbenownst to me, the alignment was off and it ruined the front tires. Of course, it was my fault the car was out of alignment. These are the same guys who wanted to charge me $170 for a 4 wheel alignment (JustTires did it for $80) and $250 to install HID lights (EB3motorsports did it for $110).

In Canada, we don't have alot of choices.

It's a dealer or you take your chance on a small-time garage. It's NOT that easy here. The pickings are slim.
Best choice is to warm-up to a dealer and work the relationship. (and then you still take some chances). My dealer is quite far, but they are fair and I feel they have better techs and all.

I would say you have alot more choice in the USA!

-Bill.
