I'm not a dealership fan but I don't understand why you felt the need to order warranty part without their approval (unless you were going to pay for it).

I have always had the oppisite reaction from dealers about a car that I bought at another dealer. I have never had any real problems with service from any dealers no matter what the vechile was.

The one dealer in Vista Ridge section of Dallas, TX I will never buy from the jack up all vechiles by at least $2k claiming that they have such a great service repair center they can. I told the guy the car would reside in Austin and I was not going to drive to Dallas for service and he then claimed I had to. I told him he was full of it and left.

I was not about to bring it in twice for something as stupid as a HL motor. If they did not want to order the part I would of had no problem going else where but when I told them this they agreed to have the part available. The thing that really pissed me off was them saying it needed 3 or 4 different parts, it was obvious they were going to rip off GM on the warranty work as well as inconvenience me.
