Jay Leno Fundrasiser for the NCM
NCM members are being offered a rare opportunity to have an inside view of Jay Leno's garage in the LA, California area.
Jay has agreed to host a very limited number of Museum members in a very special fundraiser with the proceeds going to the NCM building expansion fund. Limited to 30 participants maximum and the highlight of the two days of activities is the attendance at the taping of Jay's show followed by a personal guided tour of his garage and vast car collection. Also included in this very special event is a visit to Dick Guldstrand's shop, the SoCal Speed Shop, the Petersen Museum and dinner at Gladstone's.
Those attending will accompany Wendell Strode, Executive Director of the NCM, and Jim Minneker, record setting race driver and engineering group manager of High Performance Powertrain at GM.
These two days of car enthusiast's heaven will be Thursday & Friday, November 10 & 11, 2005. A block of rooms for arrival on 11/9 has been set up at the Sheraton Four Points hotel in Culver City, CA. The hotel has an airport shuttle and transportation for the two days of touring will be via chartered bus. Participants will be responsible for their own travel arrangements, incidentals and meals, (other than dinner at Gladstone's).
A donation of $5,000 per person is required and a significant portion will be deductible to the extent allowed by law.
For more info contact the Museum at 1-800-538-3883.

Maybe we could get 1,000 forum members to pitch in $5 each and send one lucky person in to videotape the entire event and it could air on the SPEED channel.
Southern California Corvettes is planning to see Leno's collection. I will let you know the date when I find out. It will be posted on their web site when it is a go. This might be a good time to join the club.............
I just got an e-mail from the club president and the tour will be sometime in November. He is working now on the dates. I will ask about a camera, but I believe it would be OK. I entered my Dual Ghia convertable in a show that Leno was at. He had a few of his cars there. Let me tell you if the rest of his cars look as good as the ones he brought to the show ..............he has the BESTof the BEST I'm sure. This is a RARE opportunity to see his car collection. It may be only for Southern California Corvette Club members. Might be a good time to join if you live in the Southern Calif. area. Worth the price of membership..........no I'm not the membership chairman.
