GETTING GEARED UP FOR THE Z06 EVENT
The Museum will host its first-ever Z06 Fest September 26-28, featuring seminars, autocross and drag racing, tech sessions, road tours and much more. C5-R driver Andy Pilgrim will be in attendance and will host a Corvette racing seminar in the Chevrolet Theater. Other seminars include "Building Your Z06" by GM Corvette Assembly Plant team members, tech forums with John Ligenfelter and Justin Bell along other informative sessions geared toward speed! OPEN HOUSE SCHEDULED AS PART OF "A DAY OF REMEMBRANCE" SEPTEMBER 11
In honor of the September 11th tragedy, the Museum will open its doors to the public at no charge from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 11th. Free admission to tour the Museum will be offered to everyone during the specially designated hours, in addition to a special viewing of "In Memoriam - New York City," an HBO presentation to be shown in the Chevrolet Theater. A special patriotic musical " Celebrate Our Freedom" will be performed in the Museum's outdoor amphitheater by a 350 person mass choir collected from various community churches. NCM Executive Director Wendell Strode stated, "Every American is forever changed by the tragedy of September 11th and we still feel the effects. Through strength, prayer and help from each other and our God, we will continue on. We encourage everyone to join us for a special time to reflect and enjoy our freedoms."
