Owner's Tour of Factory

I am going to tour the Corvette factory next Friday. I will be staying at the Super 8 Motel that lists itself as being near the plant and the museum.

Does anyone know if the hotel is within walking distance of the plant, museum and a few restaurants?

That depends how far you consider walking distance. Personally, I would not walk it.

ANY hotel is gonna be quite a hike to the plant, and the museum, and restaurants. There is exactly ONE restaurant in that area, but it is a good one. There's fast food. You are gonna want a rent a car. The NCM really is out in BFE, and it's a t least 1.5 miles to the plant.

Can't tell you how many times I've been to the NCM and/or the assembly plant in the last 10 years or so. Most recent? Two days ago.

Yes, one can walk to the Museum from Super 8. Guesstimate it to be 3/4 mile as the crow flies. Yes, one can walk to the assembly plant from Super 8, but don't advise it. Why? The public tour entrance is on the oppposite side of the plant as Super 8. Guesstimate walking distance? 2 miles...because you have to walk to the gate entrance, around the far side of the admin bldg and plant, then past all parking lots, BEFORE reaching the tour entrance door.

Restaurants within walking distance to Super 8 incude Jerry's, Hardees, and
Wendy's.

There are three of us going and two of us will be in my Z06, the third will be flying in. We could have dropped one guy at the hotel and picked the other up and then walked the rest, but that ain't going to happen. The guy flying will rent a car and then we have wheels we all can go in.
