The NCM has acquired 70 plus acres to be used for the development of an educational Motorplex Park.

The Motorplex will house a 1.5 mile road course, a 1/4 mile drag strip, and an autocross/skid pad area. In addition to the track features, plans include a facility to house classrooms and restrooms, and grandstand bleachers for spectators.

The park will be available for private and group safety instruction for special events and rental for Corvette clubs educational and competitive use.

During the NCM board/member meeting Wendell Strode (executive director) told the attendees that the first of the three track areas to be built would be the dragstrip!

unfortunately... Roc will only allow you to run 55mph on the strip.

Would be nice to get an update at the Fest on their timeline for construction. When they announced this earlier in the summer, IIRC, there was some mention of a "road ahead" update in August ...

Denny, I'm pretty sure Wendell will update us at the Fest on the Museum addition and Motorplex status.
