Deposit Information

Hi Rick,

I have a $1000 deposit fee on my credit card for a 2007 or 2008 Z06. What exactly does this entitle me to? Does it guarantee the ability to buy a car at MSRP? Does it guarantee that no cars will be sold to people that are not on the list first? Thanks for the info.... - John

Dude not trying to pee in your cornflakes but before you lay down the money would you not ask what you are getting.
I would get it in writing.

Originally the dealer wasn't going to charge the credit card until ubtil the actual order went in. I was OK with that since I would have a contract of sorts at the time of the charge. The dealer just decided to charge everyone's cards recently so I am questioning the what the deposit actually is for. You are correct that this is not the place to discuss the matter. I will try again to get an answer from Rick but have not had any luck by phone.

I think this "get it in writing" has been said before here. If I remember correctly, another member gave a deposit for a Z06 was quoted the MSRP, but when it was time to get the car, the price had risen some, with the sales person saying current market value is #### this much over MSRP, take it or leave it. So, by all means GET IT IN WRITING!!!

Good Luck
