I'm just curious. My wife and I are contemplating a move there. Tired of it here in Florida. The 4 H's. Heat/Humidity/Hurricanes and Homeowners Insurance. Lots of things to figure out, so we'll see what happens.
After the Fest, we plan on leaving BG and heading over to Knoxville to take a look at the area. So we will be there on Sunday and Monday.
Thanks.
Scott

Not from there, but have visited the "DRAGON" numerous times on my Yamaha R1 and then with the vette. That area, Northern GA and over towards Asheville has THE best roads on the east coast. If you like mountain roads, you'll be in heaven.

Scott, you need to head West to Arizona. It's a dry heat.

A little too brown for my taste.
Not even sure we are seriously considering going anywhere...yet. I figured the Knoxville area is very centrally located, to the east coast anyway. We can do some white water rafting, skiing and snowmobiling. We could experience the seasons. Real estate is cheap, so are taxes and insurance. For example, we saw a 3 year old house, 3100 sqft., 5 bedroom, 3 bath and most importantly, 5 garage! 2 attached on one side, 1 attached on the other side and a separate 2 car unattached. All on 1.5 acres for 269K. Taxes are only about $1700.
