Gulf Coast Autocross

I wanted to know if anyone in the area was going to the autocross event and/or novice school in Ft. Myers, FL. I was considering going and would apreciate any input from people who have been in the past, or anyone planning to attend. I wanted to find out any good places to stay, what the events entailed, how many laps/day, novice school info, or any thing else that you could consider informative. Thanks!

Hey Adam,

The Gulf coast auto X crew is great they run on an old airfield and there is plenty of room. Last time we were there I missed a gate and spun completely twice when the car stopped I was still about 100 feet from hitting anything, collected myself while grinning ear to ear finished my run.........I usually go down on Saturday for T&T and with working the course get about 5-10 runs in on about a 40 second course. We might make to the next event with BluZBrutha, and another customer in an 03 Z but we drag raced last weekend and we are also going to Orlando for the SLP day so buy the time Auto X rolls around we may pass on it. They do have a novice school on Saturday morning and then go over to the practice course it is a great time and an even better learning expieriance. Hopefully we will see you there.
