Also keep on eye on the SE section of the CorvetteForum.
Beech Bend is the nearest 1/4mile dragstrip.
Nashville Superspeedway is set up as a road course a couple of times a year. Barber isn't far. Road Atlanta. Go to www.trscca.com for the local autocrosses. Very Corvette friendly courses and plenty of runs. Our season goes from March to late November. The SVTCobra club hosts higher speed autocrosses using 411Speedway in Knoxville 3 or 4 times per year. Truck races, Busch races, Indy races. Friday night stock car races at the fairgrounds. You'll never be hurting for motorsports activities down here.

Zippy, hi it's Martin (aka C6Racer) just wanted to let you know I finally joined the forum! There are a lot of great places to eat in the Nashville area. Hope to see you soon, and welcome to the Sunny South.
To which area in Nashville will you be moving??????
I can't comment on Clubs and Strips yet, but all the roads are in good shape and fast; you've got the Natchez Trace down to forever and its bridge over Rte 96 offers spectacular views both from the Trace as well as from 96 below. It's scenic and its 50 mph speed can be pushed just fast enough to keep one awake.
Then you have the Smokies and of course Deal's Gap, I dunno, 200 miles away?
I don't think there's any salt at all on the roads so it's year-round driving.
Restaurants? Too many to worry about other than how you'll ever see half of them, seriously, and all pretty darned good, with booze.
Zippy what are you talking about... you have all those things now here in Michigan, you now have just a little further to drive to the events. There is nothing in the Americas Corvette Club by-laws about how "close" you need to live. We all know you love to drive your Z06 so we are expecting you to visit us next summer. I presumed that was the whole idea of moving to TN was to get more seat time in the Z06. Wow, come to think of it.. your going to miss our salty roads and concrete pot holes.
I think you've made a good choice, but you still need to come back to visit!
