National Corvette Homecoming

The annual Corvette Homecoming returns to Bowling Green, Ky the weekend of July 19 and 20. Two days of fun, Corvette & GM car shows, informative seminars, cars for sale, fun parade, and more. Wil Cooksey, and Paul Graham will be there along with a walk around showing of the incredible ZR1.

The event takes place at the Sloan Convention center adjacent to the University Plaza hotel. If you join us, remember to schedule a plant tour on the 18th.....the ZR1 may well be in production.

For more info check out National Corvette Homecoming! - July 18-20, 2008 - Bowling Green, Kentucky - NCH Show & Event

Anyone else going?

Re: National Corvette Homecoming

Hey Zippy, Did you pull the corsa exhaust off of the RF edition for your new car or just buy another set-up? When you change out the exhaust like that does it pretty much do away with the butterfly switch from the stock set-up? Thanks.

Re: National Corvette Homecoming

Torched: Yes, I sold the RFZ with Corsas. Bought a new set for the 427 LE Z06. Corsa's system does not have the butterfly type valve.

Re: National Corvette Homecoming

Thanks Zipster.......Was thinking about trading in for an 08' and did not want to mess with the fuse plugs/switches and all that nonsense on the stock exhaust set-up.

Sorry to change the subject but....

Stayed many times at LulaBelle's B & B there in Hannibal. Drank many a beer at the National and played mud volleyball on the 4th of July weekend there 15 years in a row. Always had a soft spot for Hannibal.

Did you guys get much flooding after the rains this year?

Mike

Re: National Corvette Homecoming

08:

The University Plaza is part of Holiday Inn. It's connected to the Sloan Convention Center (show location) via a pedestrian hallway..makes it convenient if weather gets nasty. The UP has a restaurant, and lounge. If you book there remember to mention "NCH special rate."

Baymont is about 6 miles away from the show. Nice hotel, but not as many frills as UP. Baymont also has special rates for NCH visitors. Both have pools, the UP is indoor.

UP number is 270-745-0088. Baymont is 270-843-3200. More info on BG at Get Rolling to Bowling Green, Kentucky! or call 800-326-7465 to reach the Visitor's bureau.

I've entered the car show on Sat & Sun, so look for my Crystal Red Z06 and I should be nearby...be sure to introduce yourself.

Hope this helps. Drive safe, but have FUN!

Tony

No, afraid my mud volleyball days ended 2 years ago.

I'm getting too old to spend an hour duct taping shoes and shorts in the morning and then climbing back into wet clothes the next morning for the next round.
Glad to see that Hannibal survived this flooding better than a few years ago. Lotsa damage last time.

Say hello to Mike for me. We got to know him pretty well over the years since we reserved the entire B & B every 4th of July weekend.
He could probably tell you stories about a few of the shenanigans we pulled over the years.

Now back to the thread.....

Mike
