LOCAL CORVETTE GROUP HOSTS CHARITY CAR SHOW
Atlanta, GA, November 19, 2004—The Peachstate Posse, a local corvette enthusiasts group, is hosting a Charity Car Show benefiting the Marine Corps.’ Toys For Tots Program on Saturday December 11, 2004 from 10am to 4pm at Hooters Restaurant, 2102 Old Highway 41, in Kennesaw, GA. The group, comprised of over 500 individuals is asking participants, and observers, to bring a new unwrapped toy to be donated to US The Marine Corp. Toys for Tots Program. All toys collected will be given to the US Marine Corp for distribution to needy children in the community.
The Peachstate Posse started over a year ago and is rapidly growing and becoming one of the strongest car groups in Georgia. The group is comprised of Corvette owners, as well as Corvette enthusiasts. Mark O Holte, a member of The Peachstate Posse, says, “Its wonderful that a group of people with a common passion for their car can come together to make our community better.” In October, The Peachstate Posse took part in the Annual Corvettes Against Breast Cancer Rally in Atlanta, which raised awareness and money for Breast Cancer Research. Charity work remains one of the main focuses of the Corvette group. The Peachstate Posse’s Founder, John Crowe, says, “The Posse continues to exceed my expectations. This Group has some of the biggest hearts you will ever see and I’m proud of the people it comprises.”
Registration for the Charity Car Show will happen between 830am and 940am at the location, or pre-registration can be made via email at
peachstateposse@grafffiti.net beginning November 29, 2004 through Thursday December 9, 2004. The show will take place between 10am and 4pm on Saturday December 11th. With the launch of Chevrolet’s exciting new 2005 C6 Corvette, The Peachstate Posse will give Best Of Show Awards to one owner in each of the 6 generations of Corvettes, C1-C6. Vehicles will be displayed all day for viewing.
The primary goal of both The Peachstate Posse and The US Marine Corps Toys For Tots is to deliver a message of hope to needy youngsters in the area at Christmas time. The Peachstate Posse is looking for registrants and is asking the public for their support by stopping by and dropping off new unwrapped toys and helping The US Marine Corp in their efforts. While doing this, the public is invited to see various generations of Corvettes all looking their best. It’s going to be an exciting day, with a great cause, spreading the joys of Christmas and giving back to those less fortunate.
