Book It Now For Carlisle In August!

Reading all these threads on event lodgings brings to mind the Corvettes at Carlisle (PA) event end of August. For those who have never gone, it is H-U-G-E. Well worth the drive.

Lodgings are a joke, however. Last year was my first year and the closest room I could find was in Harrisburg (20 miles from fairgrounds). And that was booking in April for August.

This year, I used the AMEX travel services in DECEMBER(!!) and managed to find a room in Carlisle.

So, I suggest trying to find rooms NOW if you plan to attend.

Most people go year after year and simply re-reserve their rooms upon departure for the following year.
