Maryland Int'l Raceway (MIR) T&T Saturday March 6th
Assuming the weather cooperates and MIR conforms to its web site schedule, I plan on making their first test and tune this Saturday, March 6th. Will be driving the black Z06 in my sig. in bone-stock form on stock tires.
The following day, Sunday March 7th, Capitol (Crofton, Maryland) opens. I plan on running my GF's Infiniti FX45, to see what this 315 BHP 4400 pound cross-over SUV can do. Some of the road test claim 14s. We'll see....

The best two track in this area are
Maryland Intermational Raceway (MIR) in Budds Creek, Maryland. It is about 45 minutes south of the southern side of the Capital Beltway (around DC). IHRA track, very professional and usually well prepared. Directions are on their site: www.mirdrag.com/directions.htm
I don't recommend Capitol Raceway for T&T days. Management is lax and often disorganized. Track prep is not very good. Times there are usually slower. I'm taking the FX45 there because that car isn't traction-limited.
Anyway, let me know if you plan to make the drive this weekend.

FYI, I called the info lines and learned the following:
MIR Saturday T&T--racing 10.00-18.00
Capitol Sunday T&T--racing 11.30-??
Assuming the weather is OK, I'm still planning to race both days.
I'll be watching the weather, particularly on Saturday. So long as any rain is forecast after 1 p.m., I'll probably make the trip to MIR.
By far the best racing at MIR is first thing in the late morning. Usually the first 1-2 hours, the lanes are nearly wide-open, easily 5-6 runs per hours, allowing for some cool-down.
So I'll plan to be there before the gates open and be ready to run when the lanes open for T&T...UNLESS there is rain in the morning.
Weather is not looking good for Saturday at MIR. I'll continue to follow the forecast and will decide tonight and post.
Weather for Sunday looks fine for Capitol Raceway. So I still plan to race my GF's Infiniti FX45. Will be happy to hook up with Corvette owners for some work on launch etc.
Ranger, I'll be at MIR on Saturday if the weather is good. A friend of mine is bringing his S/C Cobra as well. Time to school him on what a stock Z06 can do.

Ranger
Forecast for MIR (Mechanicsville, MD actually) is for 8 hours of rain during daylight hours Saturday totaling .8 inches. So, I'm scrubbing.
But Sunday still looks fine for Capitol. So I plan to be there in the bone-stock (for now) FX45.
I won't be beating any Corvettes but will probably put the jaws on some Hondas etc.
