I'll be at MIR on Sun. Have to work Sat & it's half the price on Sun. Of course when eliminations start you have to win to keep going. Not much of a chance I'll go far since it will be only my second time. I have several runs at 12.6 - 115 mph. Going to be working on my sucky 60' at never better than 2.2 (stock tires)
I hope I'll get a chance to meet some of you Sun.

I can't make Sunday, but will be there Saturday for T&T. Weather forecast is for high 40s to low 50s. Very low humidity. Barometer looks favorable now...30.40. Would be great if that holds.
Anyway, I'll be running bone-stock. Anyone needs my DRs? Let me know.
I'm heading down to MIR for T&T this morning. Weather look perfect. And the track is usually warmer thatn the forecast for that area. I'll be there from 10 a.m. untill 2 p.m. Hope some of you guy can join me.
MIR T&T on Saturday was wide open. Got 10 passes in the first hour. Could have had more. Did five more the second hour, could have made 15, but let the car cool down some.
By the time I left at 1.45 pm, air temp were still only mid-40s and the track was not hooking with my stock tires. DA was -1400 feet when the lanes opened and ranged to -1000 later.
Would have been fabulous on drag radials. But on stock tires, the shifts to 2d and 3d brought some spin not hook, even on just moderately fast shifts
I had 10 runs in the 12.0X or better, three in the 11s. Best was 11.88. Most of the traps were 118+, reflecting the great air.
All runs were bone-stock, zero mods.
Did have one fun duel with an MB E55. Very fast sedan, well driven by an ex-Z06 owner. He ran 12.1s in the 116s in the great air. In our match up, he ran 12.20 to my 11.88.
Anyway, fun day at the track. I just should have had my DR with me as back-up, to get the most from the best air I ever ran in.
BTW, they opened the gates at 9.30, 30 minutes early and racing began promptly at 10. MIR is a really well-run drag strip.
Yeah, that was a great run and you really dug deep to get that e.t. I was really suprised how hard your car pulled once you hit 4th gear...you really walked away. My 60' had a little to be desired on that pass with a 1.94 vs my best of a 1.84 earlier. It wouldn't have mattered you would have still beat me. Nice to see you at the track and congrats on the great running stock Z06 and the superhuman driving techniques. My E55 needs to go on a diet or some extra hp to compete with your car. If you run your drag radials, I'll need jet propulsion. Drag radials are my next mod and that should get me 11.9x-12.0x. Hope to see you again at the track.

Lost you after than run. I always take the last return opening to give my engine the most possible high-speed air. And didn't find you again in the pits.
Your E55 is very strong and you get the most out of it. Hope to see you back...on DRs...provided I'm wearing mine.
On 4th gear, we were close enough that I knew I had to make a good shift to 4th. Hit the 3-4 with a powershift at an indicated 6500, and that put my engine right in the sweet spot of the torque curve for max acceleration in 4th.
Anyway, good meeting with you. Hope we can do it again this Spring. When planning to head down, I'll post on this board.
