Maryland Int'l Raceway T&T Sat. March 20th

I'm planning on running at Maryland International Raceway (MIR) test and tune on Saturday, March 20th.

Gates usually open earlier than their web site listed 10 a.m. Cost to race is $30 for car and driver. Spectators pay $12.

And the lanes are scheduled to open for racing at 10 a.m.

The first two hour are the least crowded and I got 15 passes during that period on Mar 13th.

As of now, I plan on running on drag radials. If that changes to stock tires, I'll post here that the DRs are available for loan to a Corvette racer.

Hope some of you can join me.

I got the stock rotors back on so DR's here I come!

But of course...I'll have to check Brit's schedule. Still doing a lot of chaffeuring around.

02 Z06 Racer, Sorry to hear of the mishap. Hope to see you racing again soon.

MSiska, Glad you are ready to race again. I'll make a decision by Friday about whether I'lll be wearing the DRs on Saturday. It's really an issue of the air temp and sun.

Last Saturday, MIR was perfect for DRs but too cold (45 degrees) to get the stock tires to hook well or even consistently "fairly well"...both for launch and the shifts. Guys running DR were not having that problem and were taking advantage of the excellent DA. Just once, I am hoping for great air AND hook. With all that said, give me a call on Friday morning.

I still am planning to go to MIR for Saturday's T&T.

As of Thursday afternoon, the forecast for Saturday there is very favorable, DA would probably be a negative number. But not to hit 50 degrees until about 1 p.m.

MSiska, Due to the cold, it looks like I'll be wearing the DRs. If you'd like, I can take a small jack/breaker bar/torque wrench and we can put the DRs on your car there. I am only looking for about 10 passes in good air. Then I'll give my clutch a rest. I should be through by 1 p.m. Let me know. Easy for me to hall the changing kit.

Sorry to hear that MSiska. But I understand. Next time.

Have reinstalled my Halltech Tric cold-air intake and the BFG DRs.

Took it for a test drive in the 47 degree, dry air with a 30.40 barometer.

DRs gave dead-hook shifts, 0-140, WOW. This car halls ass...and the CAI connections are all nice and tight.

Looking for a good day at MIR, Saturday. Weather looks perfect. Still predicting a NEGATIVE DA.

Rumor has it that Steve Row may make an appearance.

Hope some other Corvette racers will join us.
