2008 Estes Park Run (Colorado)

Hi,

On a non Z06 specific forum, there's a run being planned for Aug 16 in the mountains, and through Estes Park. Details aren't exactly finalized as far as I know... maybe they are, but I'm not in charge.

I'm not the one organizing it, but I did do a scouting run with another person that was planning it and drove pretty much what the route is going to be.

The scouting run was a lot of fun and made me appreciate my Z06 a lot more than I ever did before. It's one thing to go on a twisty drive for an hour or two, a 200 mile twisty drive takes it to a whole new level.

Anyways, I just wanted to let the Z06 people that might not browse that other forum know that there's going to be a fun run coming up and it's always nice to have more Z06s around.

If you can't make it, I'm always up to go on a mountain run with whoever wants to come along. Just let me know, or I can plan a Z06 run if there's people interested in going on one.

If anyone on this board wants in on this, please reply in this thread. I have no problem posting details, but I'll have to track down the specifics and hope I don't screw up with the directions.

Once again, It's not exactly my run, I just wanted to get some more Z06 people along so I could meet them.

There's no way I can make it to the Maker's Mark WART at Z06 Fest this year, I think a local run in the same fashion would be nice.

Thanks,

Have a good one,

Grant

P.S. Thanks MikeZ06 for editing this, now I'll have a way better first post than the weak attempt I first made...I hope...

At least doing it this way I can get an idea of people that might be interested...and I'll have an actual first post and not just a link I posted.

Please PM me if I'm still doing it wrong....it's a lot of stuff to type...

Re: 2008 Estes Park Run (Colorado)

On second thought, I want to organize a Colorado Z06 Run for a weekend sometime before summer is out.

I've never organized something like this so it'll be nice if I can get some people to go along with it all.

I'll make another thread to gauge interest at a later time.

Thanks,

Have a good one,

Grant

Post up some details. I'm in Colorado but not in the Denver or Springs area.
I'd love to meet up with some other Z06 nuts, but being out here in BFE makes it hard to get to where all the activities are.

Re: 2008 Estes Park Run (Colorado)

Anything I arrange would probably be starting somewhere around the Denver area.

I see you're pretty far away from there around 4 hours or so , if I was closer, I'd totally go on a cruise down there.

If I ever get set up to go to a track day we should meet up at that Pueblo Motorsports Park or whatever it's called.

Have a good one,

Grant
