Kansas City Area Cruise Night

I'm not going to be able to make the Z06Fest. Anyone in the Kansas City area interested in a cruise night and maybe out to dinner?

I am always interested in a cruise. Just let me know. Sorry I didn't see this earlier. The link that was emailed to me didn't work. I just stumbled across this post.

Excellent. Sounds like I have two takers. Keep your subscription to this thread around. There are a couple of others I was hoping would show interest Z1AB, Mark From KC and Rapid. We'll get something planned soon.

Got your pm, JK. As I had indicated earlier, a cruise sounds like fun and a good opportunity to meet you and possibly even the one and only Frank!
Mark from KC is a member of the KCCA which I belong to and I'll try and run it by him next time I see him.
I may have some timing concerns, depending upon when you're planning on doing this. I just got off the phone moments ago with Chris from Katech and my head/cam package is going to be shipped either tomorrow or Wed. That means I'm going to lose the Z for a few days to MC Racing for the Stage 2 and Procharger install and tune. Don't know exactly how long that will take. Keep me informed of your plans please. Thanks

Thanks Mike. I'm in no hurry, we'll be sure to plan a time when everyone that wants to come, will be able to come.

I have been meaning to look into KCCA, I instructed one of the members (Alan ???, drives a green 2000) this past weekend at Heartland Park for the Porsche Club's Driving Event.

I haven't belonged to KCCA very long. Been to a couple of their meetings and a couple of shows. Very family oriented, not too much into racing I fear, but some real nice folks from what I've seen. Mark is much more involved than I am and has the only other Z in the club.
Instructor ...hhhmmm...What kind of instructor? I can always use some help

Well Mike, have I got a deal for you. Especially if you're interested in driving under high speed conditions. The Porsche, BMW, Audi and SCCA clubs all put on DE (Drive Education) events at Heartland Park Topeka on the 2.5 mile road course. There's too much to go into here, but if you want to know more please feel free to email me jeff@scriptpro.com. There were 3 Zs out there this past weekend and 4 C5s along with many Porsches and other assorted makes. There is a BMW event coming up toward the end of July. It is the most fun you will ever have PERIOD.

All,

How about we get the ball rolling with some general ideas. I have never organized anything like this, so bear with me if any of the following seems stupid.

1. Timing
a) Weeknight
b) During the day on a weekend
c) During the evening on a weekend.

2. Driving
a) Around town from one place to another. We decide upon destinations as we go.
b) More organized. Start at point A go to point B
c) Don't need to drive a lot. Rather meet somewhere and BS.

3. Food & Beverage
a) Picnic type thing, everyone brings something for themselves
b) Burgers at a drive-in then maybe a social drink elsewhere.
c) No food

All of the above have a
d) Doesn't matter
and
e) Other (please elaborate)

Well, how 'bout it?
