Looking for tracks

I am not sure if this is the right place to post or not, I am new to this. I have a new 2008 Z06 and was wondering if anyone knows of open road tracks I can take my car to in the Midwest. I live in Iowa, so someplace near my state would be great.

Thanks

Re: Looking for tracks

Heartland Park in Topeka has open racing. I think they call it road warriors. There is also a place called Mid America Motorplex (I could be wrong on this) in Pacific Junction Iowa. You may want to Google it.

Good luck and enjoy.

Re: Looking for tracks

Thanks for the reply

We also have the Iowa Motor Speedway in Newton, Iowa. I wonder if they have any open track days?

Re: Looking for tracks

Responded to your "new to the forum post" but also responding here for your convenience (and others who might find this thread first).

SCCA is a good source for finding tracks in your area: SCCA Sports Car Club of America

As I mentioned on the other thread, the Central West and Midwest Division websites have links to most of the tracks in your area. Both Heartland Park Topeka and Mid-America (just south of Omaha) both have many open track DE days. Mid-America is a great DE track as it is very open and very safe.

MiDiv.org - The Official site of the Midwest Division SCCA
Cen-Div SCCA
Mid America Motorplex. Main Section.
Heartland Park Topeka : Where the Best Come to Play!

Good luck and have fun with the new car.

Re: Looking for tracks

Just a thought.....I don't do the HPDE's anymore since my '02 is pretty much setup for the strip nowadays but in the past I have run 4 HPDE weekends with the local Porsche club at Heartland Park in Topeka. They are pretty cool and I'll bet if you googled their site (I think it's Porsche Club of KC but not certain) and got in touch with them, they would invite you to one of their track rentals.
