Mid-Ohio 7/9

The Ohio SAAC is hosting a DE on Friday 7/9. Limit is 80 cars. Cost is $170. For additional info email gtcs68mustang@aol.com.
I ran with this group last year. They are a good group with some nice cars. Well organized.

Hi Rudy,

New Z06 driver from Columbus. I know Centerville very well. I worked for Lexis/Nexis for about 3 years over on RT. 741. I did email for info on the July Mid-Ohio event.

I am interested in your thoughts from last year. I have never been to an event like this, and my only road racing experience is SCCA auto-x several years ago.

Never been on a track in my life. Will I be ok for this, or is some level of experience required?

thanks!

mid-Ohio

Others more experienced than me can chime in, but they break groups into experience level, just be sure to request novice group and drive to the level of your comfort. This is not a race, let fastest cars past. After some laps your comfort level will rise. Main thing is to be careful and have fun. You get to meet a lot of great people and most are very helpful.
BTW our company built Lexis-Nexis years ago and we are located about 5 miles south.

No experience required but helpful.
I'd be glad to show you the "line" you want to follow
(unless something unexpected comes up, I'll be there....
I'm already registered)
Sign up for "D" group and take your time. Everyone is nice
and they don't act like Mr. race car driver on the track.
I'll try to have you go with me for a few laps.

Dave
