Open track/drivers school, Gingerman raceway Sept 18-19

Hey guys,
Here is a event that I am putting together that I was hoping some of you would be interested in coming to. The dates are Sept 18-19 and it's at Gingerman raceway in south haven Mich.

This is put on by SCMC (SVT Cobra Mustang Club), of which I am the midwest rep. There will mainly be Cobra's there, but it is open to all (even vette's).

The track is open from 5 till dark on friday evening, for I believe something around $70. The event it's self costs $130/day which does include an instructor and classroom sessions if desired.

Gingerman is a safe track. For me, I put the car in 3rd gear when I enter the track and take it out of third when I exit the track. A person can really concentrate on driving rather than shifting.

More info can be found at www.svtcobraclub.com

registration form can be downloaded here: http://www.svtcobraclub.com/indexfil...20Form2004.pdf

Great, let Jayne know that I might have to personally drive her car in order to make sure it's safe for track duty.

Not mine, but I did instruct at an event two weeks ago at Mid-America motorplex and my B class student had a Z06. I took his car out for a session to feel a few corners out that he was having trouble with. All I can say is wow!!! I made it one lap before turning off the active handling, I just had to see what the car would do. Those cars are absolutely awesome, I couldn't believe it. He picked his 04 Z up two hrs before leaving for the track, with a few hundred miles on the car I will say that car is potentially as fast on street tires as my 95R (with a full Maximum Motorsports suspension, but only 285 rwhp) is on track tires. I didn't push his car hard at all, but I was amazed at what it could/would do. I run lap times very close to what Subdriver ran to get pole at MAM a few weeks ago in his SCCA race, in my 95R, so I feel somewhat qualified in saying the Z06 is wonderfull track car.
