02 Z06/Passenger Door Lock won't unlock

My newly acquired 02/Z06, when I hit the door lock switch/fob to unlock the doors, the passenger door will lock but won't unlock. The drivers door functions properly.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Does it work properly with the door switch? Sometimes lubricating the locking mechanism gets it working again.

Take your car and wallet to your local dealer.

Does the same with the switch/fob, but it does lock..just doesn't UNLOCK.

I'm trying to avoid the stealership, if anything i'll open the door panel up and try and figure it out myself, im no dummy when it comes to cars, I was just trying to get a head start just in case someone else has had this issue.

Go into Options on your DIC and make sure you have the correct selections. Hope this helps.

Mine is doing the same thing, I was thinking about taking off the door panel and adding a little lube to see if that would help.
It starts to unlock but only goes so far, same with the fob and door control, just hanging up somewhere. :oo:

Mine's the same. Intermittent on "unlock". Seems to be working OK at the moment, but has been a problem in the past.

Stupid question... you ARE pushing the unlock button twice or more, right? If you only push it once the pass door will not unlock.

Same problem here. Happens with the drivers side door. It will unlock with the fob or by pushing the button on the door but it doesn't always lock. First time I noticed it was when I set the alarm off by opening the door after the door didn't lock. Luckily I was at home when it happened. I've been double checking the locks to be sure the car is locked when I take it anywhere. When the fob/button doesn't lock the door, I've been doing it manually. I'm going to try a little WD40 like what was mentioned on the other thread. Hate the thought of having to take it to the dealer for this.

Add me to the list as well... Passenger's side hasn't unlocked in a year and a half. Driver's side is fine and passenger's side will lock with no problem but getting it to unlock using the fob or the armrest button is useless. Any chance of us getting a group rate on the actuator motor... Al

I'm going to open it up this weekend and lube her up with some wd-40 and White Lithium Grease and hopefully that fixes it. I really don't want to spend $$ on a actuator unless I have to.

Plus I need to clay bar/wax/polish the car this weekend.

Let us know what happens. If it's that simple, I'll pull of the skin and give it a try on mine... Cheers. Al

Make sure two hard clicks. I thought I had a problem also until Greg (Antivenom) showed me the "two click" method.
