'03 emblems

The latest autoweek says the Z06 will have 50th anniv emblems. The Coupe/vert have anniv emblems on the fenders. I suppose the Z06 will keep it's fender emblem and only have anniv emblems on the nose and decklid ?

For those who want to up grade to a 2003 just take off the cross flags on the hood and trunk lid, and stick on the new emblems cost about $40.00 dollars.

Remember, its only the 50 Anniversary of the Corvette itself. Its the 40th Anniversary of the Z06- which is probably why there won't be a big-special-deal version ?

From GM's news release:

Quote:
During 2003 only, all Corvettes feature a special 50th anniversary emblem on the front and rear. The emblem is silver and features the number "50" with the signature cross-flag design.
I would guess this is in place of the black ones we all have now.

Wouldn't be tacky to put a 50th emblem on a 2002 ZO6??

You would think the 50th emblem would be GOLD not white. Well I wouldn't buy a 2003 just for a new pair of white emblems with a 50 on them. Just buy the emblems its cheaper...duh

If I'm ever asked if my Z06 is a 50th anniversary edition, I'll just smile and tell them I couldn't wait for the 50th, so I got the 49th anniversary edition! Bill

I think the silver 50th emblems would look good on a QS (of any year). Might be able to remove the area that has the 50 on it, leaving it looking like the 97-02s.

BTW, the 50th is ALWAYS the golden anniv., so WTF is SILVER (25th) doing as the emblem color?
The General should have gone full "pimp" with the 50th: Candy Apple Red with GOLD wheels (ala Ferrari race wheel color), a gold metallic leather interior, & 24K plated emblems!!

I'm not sure if I like the silver cross flags???I would think the Gold accents would go better with the black ones
