Thanks for the invite!
The LS3 is a hell of a motor. The NPP exhaust is sweet.. Drive it daily and its a beaut.
Hammer it and the thing screams..
No rattles.. Still smelling new...probably still under a thousand miles on the vette..but over 500.. so I can hammer it a bit..
Very civilized car...nice roar when hammering it.. quick smooth and powerful.
I keep laughing as I know this car can run 100k miles with pretty much oil changes and gas.
That says a lot for the engineering done at GM..
This recent C&D test where the 400hp 2007 z51 C6 lapped faster than the Audi R8 and Porsche TT had a lot to do with my decision making ..
this had a lot to do with my decision.

The fact that GM put in more precise steering and another 36hp didn't hurt either..
Some things I've noticed and thought you guys might enjoy hearing about..
First off the steering is more precise and not heavy feeling compared to the C5 Z06 I had..
After 700 miles I can really feel a difference.. Its kind of cool and a nice addition..(not that I ever complained or anything but I can tell its more precise and as a driver you can take the car more comfortably to the limit)
This new car is not the rip roaring race car the C5 Z06 was. There is no thumping of the cam...no ticking of the valve train.. There is no road noise or tire noise like the C5 Z either..
The chorus line of noises is missing if that makes any sense..
The good part is my head isn't humming after a few hours of driving in the new C6...
In some ways I sort of miss the noises and vibrations of the modded C5 Z06 even though the new car is much nicer.
Other things I've noticed..
The sightlines out the windshield are really cool. They show more of the road than ever before. I also see the curves in the fenders more pronounced much like the 70's corvette but you see the road so close.. and the curve of the headlights toward the front of the car..
Its really cool. I think GM dropped the fenders down lower on the front and the side a bit so you get a lower more open feeling in the car.. (I"m digging for sh!t to tell you guys about as I never complained about the c5...so please read this as what the differences are...Not anything negative towards the c5)
Everytime I drive the car I realize I'm driving a car capable of 190mph and runs to 60 mph in 4 flat..
Very comfortable ride and drive. (not thumping and ticking or as noisy but nice in its own more luxurious way) Don't get me wrong its no cadillac like my wifes CTS AWD even with sport suspension but rather more evolved than the C5 for longer drives)
Very sophisticated yet in some ways like I said the race car like experience of the C5 is missing.. I'd say its been somewhat refined down..Now its like a refined sports car/supercar.. (not a track car)
Hope this review is seen in a positive pespective to describe the vast difference..
Really very capable sports car(190 mph top speed/4 flat to 60mph) but so sophisticated you only know its capable of it because they tell you.. or if you hammer it..
Then the NPP opens up and wails! If you don't wake up the NPP then it seems like a real grand touring car..
Open it up hard and its a hard charging extremely capable supercar..
Enjoy the C5 Z...Its a real racecar like driving experience........ VROOOOM!
