I was just asked what's the difference in the 2004 Z06 from the 2002-03's
Z06 models.
I thought I read something had been upgraded or changed to the fuel system and something about the suspension. Nothing major but can't recall any other mentionable changes. Any info appreciated.
Off the top ... and to add to Steve's post ... they also changed the durometer of the rear bushings (harder).
In 2003 they had a running change to FFS in-tank fuel pump (around Nov '02) and to steel shift forks (around Feb '03) Any '04 would have these changes.

Thanks. Fuel tank components that was it. I remember the change on the shifiting forks from 02's. Had no issues with mine. Didn't know about the bushings at all. Did recall the shocks once reminded as earlier thread mentioned.
At least the C5 Z06 hartops don't have any C6 Flying roof issues. I hope that has been resolved. Imagine going down the track and having your roof lifting off ?
… a very very special Z06, that I believe the Z06 crowd is gonna be very happy with [not only] the commemorative Z06, but all of the Z06’s in 2004, cause, while they all don’t all have the hood, and they don’t all have the wheels, and they don’t all have the graphics, they all got the suspension. It makes a surprising upgrade to the car, in the area of performance, that Z06 people really appreciate.
I also think that GM straightened out the PCM a bit, because 2004's seem to make more rwhp bone stock than any of the earlier models. FRCTom may have something to say about this, but from what I have seen, it seems to be true!
