2004 Z06 Nurburgring Lap Times

Can't seem to find any published confirmation for GM's claim that the 2004 Z06 lapped the Nurburgring in under 8 minutes. For that matter, I can't find any documentation for any Z06's lap times of the Nurburgring. An unmodified production car capable of lapping the Nurburgring in under 8 minutes always creates quite a bit of attention, and apparently the 2004 Z06 hasn't created that level of attention.

If there's a more comprehensive list of Nurburgring times available--a list which includes some lap times for any Z06, I'd like to know about it.

8 seconds are for bull riders.
I'm sure it was'nt published because GM did'nt want everyone to know it at the time of testing. They may have held the info from them. That's my guess.
