Active Handling Code Prob - my Z06 back to dealership 3rd time in a week now :-(

Does ANYBODY have any experience or knowledge about why my car keeps tripping the Service Code for the active handling package?

This is the 3rd time in a week I have had to take the car back to the dealership for them to address the problem under warrenty.

I'm hoping somebody knows what the problem is so I can tell the dealership what they can check.

I bought my '01 Z06 from the dealership with only 200 miles, it now has about 750 miles. The first time the code was tripped was on the highway doing to my Dad's for Easter. The 2nd and 3rd times I was driving at 20 mph on local roads.

ANY feedback at this time would be appreciated, thanks.

HI there,
Please extract codes from you TCS module, and we can proceed with diagnosis.
You will have a history code for 50 drive cycles, if the failure has not reoccured.
Besttoyou, and yes, we can bag it, c4c5

This is a very common fault for new cars. Mine had it as well at around 500 miles. It was due to excess grease somewhere in the system (front wheel steering position sensor maybe?). The dealer cycled my steering lock to lock 100 times and I never had the problem again.
Good luck.

I had that same problem driving up to DC. It said service active handling/vehicle soon, then when we stopped to gas up, it didn't come back on for like 300 miles, then came on again, stopped to eat, turned back on, nothing since. Kinda wierd.......I have 1700 miles on it right now (DC trip put too many damn miles on it) and everything is good. Oh, also had some clicking sound from the driver side window at high speeds (well just 80mph), but I think it might be the tint or trim or something like that.

Update: I went by the dealership today to get a Claim History on my car, here is what I have PLUS the codes from the (2) two previous times I took it back to the dealership last week:

N6628 Steering/Suspension/Ride Controll on 6/28/01 @ 200 miles (this was before I owned the vehichle)

D2109 A/C Module R&R/RPL @ 185 miles (again before I owned the car)

1st time to dealership: J6355 Powertrain Controller - Reprogram on car

2nd time to dealership: Test Codes C1288 & 8854 GM Tech Assist states a film may be on sensor Clean Sensor & Perform Steering 100XS. E7690 Sensor - Steeling Wheel Rotation - Replace.

As soon as I get the info from the 3rd visit I'll report back.

Thank you all for the feedback thus far.

I just started getting this on my 2002, with over 3000 miles. Both times were after 1 hour (plus) of highway driving.
