I keep reading about all these guys who polish their car after every drive, wax it every month, and spray Z6 on it in their sleep. It's enough to make me feel really guilty about how my car will probably get used. I drive it 25 miles each way to work, in the rainy northwest. Unless I take the Spec Miata to work (which I do once in a long while), it's my only transportation. And because I need to use the garage to work on the Miata, the Z06 will sit outside a fair portion of the time.
In other words, it'll be just another car, getting dirty, smacking cones sometimes, picking up track debris other times, and having birds crap on it.
Am I the only one who's so uncouth?

You are not alone, the only thing that hurts me in driving it every day is the tire wear $1000 every year, but aside from that I can' unglue my bottom end from it every day.

I drive mine daily! I hate to see it dirty, other than that I love seeing close to 24 mpg with a 405 hp 5.7L monster of an engine. Those are mostly freeway miles though, if I do a split city/hwy I get around 18-19 mpg.
I drive mine everyday I can. During the winter (starting in late November) we usually get 15 to 20 feet of snow and it stays for many months.
Once the roads are entirely clear of snow (usually mid April), it is the only car I use. I take the liability and collision off of my winter car (a Mercury Mountaineer), and drive the Vette, especially in bad weather. In good weather, I ride a motorcycle.
I drive mine every day to the Pentagon. The cops here drool every time I drive by 38,000+ and loving it. I am not saving this for someone else I will enjoy it. Yes you get scratches but they can be covered or rubbed out. If I am going to sit in traffic it will be in a cool headturner not a plain jane econobox. You only live once (forget James Bond what the heck does he know )

Up until last fall, it was my only car since spring of '00. Daily driven, sits in a parking lot, over 70k miles, and is almost always dirty (panzer will vouch for that ). I just closed on a townhouse last week that doesn't have a garage, so it looks like it will be sitting outside for at least a few more years.
I agree with you, panzer, cars are to be enjoyed. I guess I've just gotta take the best care of it I can, and wait for the inevitable first ding so I won't be so afraid of the wear and tear.
