Hey all,
Just a quick note to let everyone know that I'm once again back after completing another patrol. Made it home just in time for my oldest daughter's 15th birthday (Dec 23rd) and got a few days off for Christmas. Good to be home and spend some time with my family.
Will be catching up here over the next few weeks... way to many posts to go through! Happy to see all the activity here though.
Welcome back to the surface!
Glad you made it home for #1 daughter's B-Day and Christmas.

Welcome back home.
I've got a quick question for you. Somewhere I thought I read you were from Memphis, but you list Washington in your signature.
If you're from Memphis, we're practically neighbors and I'd like to find out when and where you'll be racing.
All,
Thanks for the warm welcomes home! Had a great holidays with my family (even had time to get a little Christmas shopping in for my wife and daughters). Even got Christmas snow here, enough for snowmen, snowball fights and sledding.

Later,
I'm in the Navy, so I get around.
I was stationed at Navy Recruiting Command headquarters which is based in Millington TN, just north of Memphis, from Oct 02 to Mar 05 and started my racing while I was there racing in the SCCA Midwest Division on tracks in Memphis, Topeka, Omaha, St Louis, and Hallett. I also spent quite a bit of time racing "out of division" and raced at Roebling Road (GA), Texas World Speedway, Carolina Motorsports Park, Grattan (MI), and Mid-Ohio.
In 2005 I started a year long training pipeline that took me all over the place from DC to Australia, then settled at my current sea duty assignment on a submarine in the Puget Sound, WA. I have about a year left here before heading off to who knows where.
If you are interested in watching some Midwest Division SCCA races (they are usually all free) with other amateur racers, here is were the SCCA posts the Club Racing schedules (though most divisions don't yet have their 08 schedules out yet): SCCA - Sports Car Club of America
