I live in Michigan and the wife wants to go to Disneyworld. I refuse to pay $800 for airfare so I thought it would be a good idea to drive the Z down to Orlando and have Mike Norris drop a cam in it. He said it would take 3 days maximum but am I begging for trouble on the way home? It would suck real bad to break down on I75. This has to be the least likely internal engine mod to cause a problem though. It is a moderate cam so nothing too radical.
Any thoughts? Should I seek someone closer to home?
That's a great idea. Try to give yourself a day to drive around in Orlando before returning just in case. If something is amiss, it should show up right away.
Sounds like a good idea to me. I drove the family down last November (8) mostly due to the fact that airfare would have been too much. Drive the Zee down, see the sites along the way there and home, enjoy the wife and Disney and your modded Zee. Bad 06 had a great idea.......drive the Zee around Florida for a day or so to check things out. Lots to see in Florida. You can visit many forum members while down there. Bill
I drove mine down in febuary had a blast.only complant was from my wife, said passenger seat was a little uncomfortable.I wouldn't worry about cam install, just drive it around a little and have fun!
Come on down , great ride at 30mpg. bring car cover for nite time at hotel , id get cam close to home just in case , if you get in trouble theres plenty bros everywhere in this state .
Thanks for the replies. MIke suggested a 113 LSA cam. HE said it would be the best balance between power and driveability. Any thoughts on that? I forget the other specs though....I think it was 224/224 but I'm unsure of the lift.
