Because its a vette?

I just recieved another ticket in my z. I will admit that I certainly deserve this one and will be very happy if this is the only consequence that I must face. However, this is my third one in 18 months, give or take. I've never even been pulled over before I bought this car. Now I've had to deal with 3 tickets and being pulled over numerous times, 2 parked in a parking lot. my question to everyone is this, does this car beg to be pulled over or is this just my imagination?

Be thankful you don't live in NJ. Your insurance would probably be over 6k by now. I don't think I attract any more or less attention from the police than I did in the camaro I had before this. But then again, my car is the least of their worries in my neighborhood. There are tons of street rods and old muscle cars that are always causing some kind of commotion. Sorry to hear about you troubles.

I got pulled over in the parking lot once for no front plate while I was just talking on the phone with the engine off (got a warning) and once becasue I pulled in way too fast earlier. (also a warning)There happens to be a very large dip in the entrance that cant be avoided and can only be taken at speeds less than than 2-3mph at an angle. Go figure. I really do deserve this ticket, but my driving record is spotless (defensive) and it is still upsetting. I drove an old GMC 1 ton before and cops would never even notice me, now they can't help but notice. The only saving grace is that I drive a z and not a 1 ton anymore.

I hope it's not the vette. I traded in my Prowler for the Z because it got far too much attention from the police and the general public gawkers.

If I'm in my hometown, I never get bothered but I expect to be the one picked out of the crowd elsewhere. It frustrates me to no end that I could literally do anything I wanted in my 3/4 ton suburban without ever getting pulled over (the fact that it takes twice as long to stop and weighs twice as much doesn't make it any more of a danger to myself and the public than my vette???!!!). Unfortunately the law is the law and judgment calls don't often enter into the equation or benefit you. Nothing new and don't expect anyone to feel sorry for us...

Hey man, sorry to hear about your ticket problems. I've had mixed experiences with law enforcement while in my Z. I've been given lots of trouble about the front license plate, but have never received a ticket. (Knock on Wood) I've been stared down a few times, and even been given the "thumbs up" from some officers. It's an attractive car, so it gets lots of attention.

It's cause you're a thug! J/k

I have yet to get a ticket in the Z. I did, however, get quite a few in my T/A. I think the "Batmobile" garnered more of the wrong kind of attention from cops out here in the DFW area of Texas.

When police look at me now, it appears they are admiring the car instead of staring down a kid in a rocket ship. Course, I could be wrong and am just lucky.

Hell, I still have a court date for Dec 15th, for doing 104mph in a 55mph. That'll hurt. Owie...

I've been lucky in the Z. I have been pulled over once and it was for hard acceleration. He didn't see me do it...but he heard me do it. No ticket.

Haven't been stopped in the Z yet-knock on wood but got caught in my Trailblazer. My radar detector has saved me more than once. Yes it's true I use a radar detector. Always have and always will- And Hey Lance why were you only going 104? Were you in third gear or just slowing down. Bill in Oregon

I doubt it's because you're in a Corvette. I do think that people can't help driving it like it's a world class sports car (me included) and that attracts the wrong attention sometimes.

I've seen a saying on this forum that reads "Drive it like you stole it". I think a better one might be "Drive it like you want to get pulled over".

It has to be the cops or you, cause I have a yellow Z and SLP exhaust and never (knock on wood) get pulled over or a hard time. Now I know cops are out for vettes, I had a tropper tell me he was going to look for me and I had better watch out. He said people called him cause I was being stupid in my car....witch I never was..really. It was just cause he couldnt stand to see a kid in a vette.
