A lot of people I talk to, especially the people in my age bracket, when they think of the Corvette, they think of the '67 L88 in blue and so do I. The C5 EB Z gives me that same feeling as in my younger days. I remember posting on here when I had my hardtop, and I said that the black really went with the hardtop bodystyle. I still feel the same way. It's just like a '59 Vette that's black with the silver center with red interior, which is a beautiful combo for that style car. Some colors do better justice to certain body styles. But when my wife and I saw an EB Z06 at the Philadelphia Auto Show, as we looked at it from different angles, it seemed to change color, and you couldn't stop looking at it. And, the reaction from others around were the same. We were all amazed. The next day, I traded my '99 hardtop for the EB Z, and not knowing that it would be a limited production color. The Lemans Blue is nice, but it really doesn't have the same charisma as the EB. It surely is a winner. I read somewhere that a woman within the GM division actually introduced the color for the 2002. If anyone knows her name, can you let me know.
Totally Unbelievable! A true classic bodystyle & color within it's own era!

Yes a woman chose the EB color, and I wonder who chose the LeMans Blue? The EB is brighter and after having one for about 3 years now I still like it as much or more then I did when I first saw it. It is one of the best colors I have ever seen on a car. Maybe thats because all the other boring colors on the road today are picked by men.

QS would be dazzling, but EB would be even better.
I always had black cars and thought that it look the best, especially on the Z. When I went to the dealership and saw this torch red one next to the black on I originally when to see, I couldn't resist and had to get it. I never liked red until I saw this car.

Thanks. Lots of Zaino!!! I don't use the swirl remover. Believe it or not it does have a light abrasive to it and after applying it so many times it does thin out the clear which I found dulls the clear after a while. So basically, all I use is the Zaino Lok and then the Zaino Show Car Polish for Clear Coats. I wait 24 hours between coats so it cures. An old bodyman's trick also is when polishing the car, I don't use a circular motion. When I do the hood I go from fender to fender across and when I do the sides I go up and down from top to bottom. Same when wiping it off. Also, before I apply the polish again after 24 hours, I wipe it down with the Zaino gloss enhancer. That's all I do. You should see the Mach 1 now after 6 coats of the Zaino. I'll have to take some new pics.
